Scholarships for entry 2010
Kilvington
Girls' Grammar offers a range of Academic, combined
Music/Academic and General Excellence scholarships each year at
secondary and primary level.
Please note:
Scholarships that are currently open for application are
displayed below with an active link. If a scholarship does not
have an active link, please contact the Registrar,

Applications for Academic Scholarships close on Wednesday 3 February 2010.
Scholarship testing date is on Saturday 13 February 2010.

as follows:
Academic Excellence
For entry into Years
5, 6, 7, 9, 10 & 11 - are tenable up to and including Year 12.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of an independent academic
examination and are open to both prospective and current
students. It is an expectation that candidates will participate
actively in the full life of the School.
Music
Scholarships are tenable up to and including Year 12.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a music audition. Candidates must show promise as a musician and display an
obvious commitment and willingness to participate in school
music activities while they attend Kilvington. Prerequisite
skill levels required are a minimum of AMEB Grade 4 level for
Year 5 & 6 entry, AMEB Grade 5 level for Year 7 entry and AMEB
Grade 6 level for Year 9 entry.

General
Excellence
General
Excellence Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a
candidate’s active participation in a range of activities (for
example, sport, music, creative arts, and programs that benefit
the community). These activities may be school based or
community based.
All candidates are required to sit the
Academic Scholarship test – testing date is Saturday 13 February
2010. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the
Principal. Please contact the Registrar for further information.
