The Kilvington community is characterized by shared beliefs and values linking students, staff and parents to each other and the wider community.
These shared values provide a foundation for quality relationships. The strength we gain from these relationships helps create an environment where each student can achieve their personal best.
With a commitment to inspired learning, programs and activities connect students to organizations, businesses, social and learning environments beyond the school walls. For example, as part of their learning Junior School students will find themselves investigating politics and visiting our local member in Canberra; Year 9 students identify a social issue in the community and actively work with an organization to alleviate the issue; Senior students spend a week in the city delving into financial literacy and understanding why 'ignorance is no excuse' when it comes to society and the law.
Kilvington celebrates cultural diversity and indeed International week is a highlight on the school calendar. Our strong culture of care and sense of belonging is reflected in the large number of families from differing faiths and backgrounds. As a Baptist School we are bound together by the Christian faith and enjoy relationships with members of the Baptist community, sharing traditions and celebrating milestones together.
Our small size enables open communication and a high level of participation. With shared vision and values, we work together to create a supportive environment that enables achievement and involvement in the local and broader community for mutual benefit.
