Junior School Curriculum

Kilvington’s Junior School is a place of rich and exciting learning experiences where children are respected and valued. ELC and Junior School staff view each student as naturally inquisitive, with enormous potential. The Early Learning Centre is part of the Junior School, and staff work closely together to provide a seamless learning journey for our students from 3-year-old Kindergarten through to Year 6, and into the Senior School. We value enthusiasm, creativity, persistence and collaboration amongst our students. They are encouraged to think critically and innovatively, and to act with integrity and compassion. We place importance on building strong home-school partnerships, and welcome parent involvement in our Junior School and ELC.

For many Junior School students, the educational journey begins at the ELC, a separate building on Kilvington’s campus surrounded by its own self-contained gardens. From Prep onwards, students move into the spacious classrooms of the Junior School building. At recess and lunchtimes, they often enjoy playing on the ‘Kilvington Green’ – a playground fully equipped for different ages and activities.
