The Pastoral Care system

Kilvington's Senior School Pastoral Care system is organised into the four House groups. The system is divided into Years 7 – 9 and Years 10 – 12.

There are three areas of assistance in the Pastoral Care system: firstly, the Tutor; secondly, the House Dean; thirdly, the Head of Senior School.

The purpose of the Pastoral Care program is to know the student well, to work with the student's family, and to look after each student's health, wellbeing and happiness.

Kilvington's renowned Pastoral Care system is extremely thorough and comprehensive. While we understand the importance of allowing students their independence, we recognise that they will also need some guidance. Our Pastoral Care system has therefore been carefully designed to ensure that students feel welcome. Our teachers are experienced in dealing with children and young adults, and are available to provide advice to students when required.

The extra care we take with our Pastoral Care system makes a big difference, because it ensures the relationship between teachers and students is extremely positive. Our Pastoral Care teachers provide the best possible care and support of students.
