Scholarships at Kilvington
Each year Kilvington offers Academic, Music and General Excellence Scholarships.
2014 Scholarship Program
Registrations are now open for candidates wishing to apply for Scholarships for entry into Years 5 – 12 in 2014. All candidates are required to sit the ACER testing at Kilvington on
Saturday February 9 2013. Please click here to complete your online registration with ACER,
primary level or
SST levels 1,2,3.
Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Principal and are offered as a concession on tuition fees.
Academic Excellence Scholarships
Scholarships are tenable up to and including Year 12. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of an independent academic examination and are open to both prospective and current students. It is an expectation that successful candidates will participate fully in School life.
Music Scholarships
Scholarships are tenable up to and including Year 12. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a music audition and an independent academic examination. Candidates must show musical promise and display an obvious commitment and willingness to participate in School music activities while they attend Kilvington. Prerequisite skill levels required are a minimum of AMEB Grade 4 level for Year 5 & 6 entry, AMEB Grade 5 level for Year 7 entry and AMEB Grade 6 level for Year 9 entry.
A portfolio containing the candidate’s previous two school reports, NAPLAN testing, music examination reports and information including levels of achievement in any other activities they are involved in, should also be submitted to the Registrar.
General Excellence Scholarships
General Excellence Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the independent academic examination and the candidate’s active participation in a range of activities (for example, sport, music, creative arts, and programs that benefit the community). These activities may be school-based or community-based.
A portfolio containing the candidate’s previous two school reports, NAPLAN testing and information including levels of achievement in any other activities they are involved in, should also be submitted to the Registrar.
It is an expectation that successful candidates will participate fully in School life.
