Vietnam Social Services Trip 2011

A group of Kilvington students from Years 9 – 12 are travelling to Vietnam in 2011. This trip has been specifically designed for students and teachers at Kilvington.
It includes visits to the country's main cities and attractions, and is intended to give students an insight into the cultural and social importance of this fascinating region.

The service-learning element of the trip will include spending time at a charity organisation helping disadvantaged teenagers, and interacting with a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) to discuss developmental and social issues.

The trip will also include visits to historical Hue, Hoi An, dynamic Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, side trips to magnificent Ha Long Bay and the mountainous hill tribe region of Mai Chau. Whilst the trip is essentially an educational tour, it will also be highly enjoyable, providing students with a fulfilling introduction to one of the most beautiful and friendly countries in Southeast Asia.
