Kilvington Student to Attend Prestigious Science Forum
A student from Year 11, Alysia Rawlings, has been selected to attend the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) in Canberra during January 2010.
The NYSF aims to engage Australia’s brightest young scientific minds during 12 days of lively debates on scientific issues, a variety of exciting hands-on activities, site visits to major research facilities and interactions with some of Australia’s most prominent scientists.
Students choose their own branch of Science to pursue at the Forum and work in laboratories with relevant experts who will show them what a career in Science is really like. Alysia is the first Kilvington student to be selected for the NYSF. She competed against almost 2,000 students from around Australia to secure one of only 600 positions. We wish Alysia all the best at the Forum.
