Message from the Principal

Principal Rob French

It is a privilege for me to join the Kilvington Grammar community.  Kilvington has a rich history, dating back to its foundation in 1923 and is a Christian school of the Baptist tradition.

We are open to families of all faiths or no faith. We offer a friendly atmosphere, a strong sense of community and a commitment to making a positive difference in the world, delivering comprehensive education from Early Learning to VCE.

A Kilvington education is based on four key pillars – Academic Excellence, Character, Community and Care.  These pillars are interdependent to help our students become thinking, strong, caring and respectful people who once leaving school, will positively engage with and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

Kilvington’s goal is to nurture the academic, emotional, physical and spiritual development of all of our students.  We are a supportive community that allows all students to flourish, discover their passions and pursue their interests.  We are keenly aware of the ever-changing 21st century work environment and we strive to equip our students with the tools necessary for success in the world beyond the school gates.  Specially tailored programs are delivered as part of the curriculum to best prepare students for the future.

The adolescent years can be challenging and at times, difficult to navigate.  We work closely with all students and their families to ensure that we are providing the best possible support structures and personal development programs.

Our mission is to inspire students to strive for academic and personal excellence, and to nurture their aspirations and wellbeing in a caring, family-oriented community, so that they thrive as people of strength, character, and positively contribute to the world around them.

Our vision is to be a school of excellence offering a holistic education to girls and boys, enabling them to excel individually and as part of a community.
