Scholarship applications for entry to Kilvington in 2028 will open in November 2026, with Music, Academic and General Entry scholarships available for students entering Years 5, 7, 9 and 11. Scholarship values vary by award.
Academic scholarships are awarded on the basis of an independent academic examination and an interview. If you have applied for an Academic Excellence Scholarship, there are no additional requirements for applicants.

General Excellence Scholarships recognise students who demonstrate strong academic ability alongside a broad range of achievements and contributions beyond the classroom.
Applicants are assessed through an independent academic examination and interview, together with a portfolio demonstrating their active participation in activities outside school. The portfolio should provide an overview of the student’s involvement across areas such as sport, community service, leadership and the arts.

Music Scholarships recognise students who demonstrate strong musical ability and a commitment to developing their skills and contributing to the musical life of the School. Scholarships are open to both instrumentalists and vocalists.
Applicants are assessed through an independent academic examination, an interview and a music audition. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a minimum level of AMEB Grade 4 for Year 5 entry, AMEB Grade 5 for Year 7 entry, and AMEB Grade 6 for Year 9 entry and above.
Music Scholarship recipients are expected to participate broadly in Kilvington’s music program and contribute actively to the School’s music community. For further information, please contact the Admissions team.
