Head of Library Services

Position of Responsibility - 3-Year Tenure | Commencing Term 1, 2026

We are seeking an experienced and future-focused educational leader to oversee our Library Services and contribute strategically to teaching, learning and student engagement across the School.

The Role

The Head of Library Services is a substantive teaching position with a three-year Position of Responsibility attached. The role is responsible for the strategic direction, operation and ongoing development of the Library Resource Centre to ensure it remains an inclusive, innovative and well-utilised learning setting.

Working closely with the Deputy Principal and Head of Teaching and Learning, the Head of Library Services contributes to curriculum priorities, digital and information literacy initiatives and the enhancement of research capabilities. The role includes participation in Curriculum Team meetings and collaboration with staff to support the effective integration of print and digital resources.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading the strategic development of Library Services in line with school priorities.
  • Enhancing access to high-quality print and digital resources.
  • Promoting research skills, information fluency and digital literacy.
  • Ensuring the Library is welcoming, inclusive and future-focused.
  • Coordinating programs, events and services that promote student engagement.

You are a skilled educator with leadership capability, excellent communication and a passion for advancing library services in contemporary education. You understand the evolving role of school libraries and can inspire students and staff through innovative programs, resources and collaboration.

        EAL Learning Coordinator

        0.6 FTE (3 days per week) | Position of Responsibility - 3-Year Tenure | Commencing Term 1, 2026

        We are seeking a passionate and skilled educator to coordinate EAL support across the School and contribute to positive student learning outcomes through targeted intervention and collaboration with teaching staff.

        The Role

        The EAL Learning Coordinator is a 0.6 FTE role over three days per week and includes an English teaching load alongside a three-year Position of Responsibility. The role plays a key part in identifying and supporting EAL students, advising classroom teachers and contributing to inclusive learning practices.

        Key responsibilities include:

        • Coordinating EAL support to enhance student progress and engagement.
        • Collaborating with teachers to address the needs of EAL learners.
        • Assisting in the development of strategies and resources that support language acquisition.
        • Facilitating communication with families and relevant staff.
        • Providing reports and updates to the Deputy Principal or Principal as required.
        • Attending meetings and occasional school events outside standard hours.

        A small time allowance and monetary allowance are attached to the Position of Responsibility.
